October is PA Promise Month!

Early Childhood Education Caucus Press Event to Celebrate Pennsylvania’s Promise for Children Month

Wednesday, October 8, 2014 10:00 – 11:00 am Capitol Media Center State Capitol Building, Harrisburg, PA Did you know that what children learn before kindergarten affects how well they will do in school and maybe even what career they will have? Because quality early learning opportunities are vital to a child’s success in school and in life, the Pennsylvania’s Promise for Children campaign and Early Childhood Education Caucus are recognizing October as Pennsylvania’s Promise for Children Month.

Hear from families who have experienced first-hand the impact that quality early learning opportunities can have to children’s academic and social/emotional development that prepares them for kindergarten and beyond. Early Childhood Education Caucus members will also share how families, schools, and communities can make quality early education a priority for Pennsylvania so every child can reach his/her promise.
